Marcus Rose was a Director of the Football Club between 2002 and 2007.
His Directorship ended on 30 January 2007 with his resignation as Director, and from the Unity ticket which was seeking re-election at the 2007 AGM. The resignation came about on the same day as a Herald-Sun press interview hit the stands, one in which Rose talked about the financial difficulties facing the Club and also Rose's Princes Park re-development plans. Unfortunately, the article also mentioned that Rose indicated that Carlton had a chance of facing a merger and relocation, and by the end of the day, his resignation was tendered. Rose later disputed the contents of the article and the Herald Sun issued an apology.
