Max Dykes played reserve-grade football for Carlton in 1967 and 1968.
Max Dykes was named on the bench for Round 8, 1968 against Fitzroy, but pulled out before the game and was replaced by debutant Ted Hopkins.
Sadly that opportunity didn't present again, he didn't manage to play a senior game for Carlton.
Note; In the 1968 Annual Report it was noted in the Obituary section that his father Mr. Dykes had passed away.
