Game Review
The 1950's were a time of struggle for the Blues, withe no finals win let alone a flag. 1958 would be no different, with the Blues falling outside of the 4. In this game, North would be well in command at half time and we would not threaten. However, the significance of this game in another sense should be brought out. Kerr, Cottrell and Serge were in this team, and some 60 years later, their grandsons would be on our list in a quirk of historical relevance. 3 Granddads, 4 grandkids...
In a season quirk, there was actually a three round gap between rounds 12 and 13.
