Game Review
Carlton were no match against the 5th placed Cats and as had been the case all season, showed that while it could compete with the lower ranked sides, it could not compete with the top few sides. They had no answer for the Cats' small forwards Kingsley, Chapman and Ablett, who kicked 11 goals between them, while most of their forwards struggled. They made numerous disposal errors.Matthew Lappin worked hard from half back and had 24 disposals. Scott Camporeale and Heath Scotland each had 21, while Nick Stevens had 20.
Paul Chapman, taken with the pick given to Geelong by Carlton for Mick Mansfield, again starred.
