Game Review
Round 2 of 1923 was a sad old day for the Blues. Being trumped by St Kilda was hard enough, but 2 good players lost to long-term suspensions in Boromeo and Hiskins added salt to the wound.Carlton's call for umpires to be appointed by an independent committee, and return of stewards to monitor matches, was rejected by the League. - 100 Years of Australian Rules Football.
At the end of this round Carlton were in 9th spot on the ladder with a percentage of 62.6.
