Game Review
This was Carlton's first trip to AAMI Stadium to take on the fledgling Crows, and took place the week after the Crows trampled all over the Hawks to have all fans of Victorian football worried about a potential new force in the game.We led by just 4 points at half time before a 10 goal to 7 second half won us the game. Kernahan and 'Dorra' kicked 5 each whilst Silvagni kept Crow full forward Scott Hodges to just 3 goals, earning 3 Brownlow Votes in the process.
Whilst not named in the best above, he was named in the best in some outlets, Stephen Edgar was a very good player on this day. Probably his best game for Carlton.
At this stage the Crows had a theme song to the tune "Here we go, Here we go". The jubilant Carlton supporters took great delight in singing "There they go, there they go" as the Crows fans headed en masse to the exits in the final quarter.
This game is remembered fondly by Carlton fans, and is considered one of our best wins in the Home & Away rounds of the 1990's. For more games like this, please click here.
