Jason Sheather played reserve grade football for Carlton in 1996. Sheather was also used as a top-up player for Collingwood and Sydney reserves in 1995.
Sheather was originally recruited from Albury via TAC Cup team the Murray Bushrangers in which he was the captain for the 1995 season.
In 1999 Sheather would play 22 goals and kick 2 goals whilst playing with VFA club Coburg.
He didn't play a senior game for Carlton.
