Brian Kekovich continued his good form for Carlton, kicking six goals, as the Blues defeated Hawthorn by 24 points. It was the highest individual tally kicked by a Carlton player for more than two years. Peter Hudson and Bob Keddie kicked three goals each for the Hawks.
