Game Review
Geelong have now answered most of their critics who said they were "brittle" and could not beat top sides, by outclassing Carlton at Kardinia Park in the last quarter, for their seventh win in nine games. Facing almost certain defeat at the last change after Carlton had made good use of the wind in the third quarter to kick 7.3, the Cats combined well as a team to outscore the Blues 5.5 to 1.2 in the run home. - Football Record.
League leaders Carlton suffered its second succesive defeat when it went down to Geelong at Kardinia Park.
