Game Review
Carlton kicked down the door to the top four at last with this demolition of a struggling South Melbourne at Princes Park. The Blues displaced Footscray, and now sat in fourth ladder position behind Essendon, Geelong and Melbourne.Rover Peter Falconer was one of the best players for Carlton. Full-forward Tom Carroll had has his best day for the season with seven goals. Wes Lofts at centre half-back and Bob Crowe on the flank were reliable and capable defenders all day. Berkley Cox played an excellent game in the centre for the Blues. - Football Record.
