A former professional volleyballer who represented her country, Watt took to her new surrounds quickly to enjoy a breakout year in 2018. Fronting up for the Southern Saints, Watt’s work in the ruck saw her named in the VFLW Team of the Year and take home a best and fairest award. With the ability to play in a key attacking or defensive post, she’ll form part of a formidable ruck contingent alongside Breann Moody and Alison Downie. Draft history: 2018 NAB AFLW Draft 4th round selection, No.40 overall.

At the end of the 2019 season Watt would head to AFLW team St Kilda for the 2020 season. She signed to St Kilda in the expansion signing period in April 2019, and was named a co-captain of the club in January 2020. It was revealed Watt had signed on with St Kilda for one more year In June 2021, tying her to the club until the end of the 2022 AFL Women's season. In June 2022, following an anterior cruciate ligament injury, Watt was delisted by St Kilda after playing 22 games and kicking 1 goal from 2020 - 2022.

A few days later, Melbourne signed Watt as a delisted free agent, Watt played a further 2 games before being delisted by Melbourne at the conclusion to the 22 season,

Watt made her AFLW debut in round 2 of the 2019 season for Carlton, but then signed with St Kilda in the expansion signing period in April 2019, and was named a co-captain of the club in January 2020. In June 2022, following an anterior cruciate ligament injury, Watt was delisted by St Kilda. A few days later, Melbourne signed Watt as a delisted free agent. While recovering from injury, Watt continued to train with the Dees and quickly became a much-loved member of the team. In 2023, despite not yet having played a game for the Demons, Watt was added to the leadership team in recognition of her skills and experience both on and off field. She finally made her club debut in Round 7 against West Coast, where she registered twelve disposals, four clearances, and twelve hitouts.

Watts Retires at the end of the 2024 season
A much-loved teammate at Melbourne, St Kilda and Carlton, former elite volleyballer Watt announced her retirement in her own imitable style, during a mid-match interview in week 10. Watt was drafted to the Blues ahead of the 2019 season at the age of 31, off the back of just one VFLW season with the Southern Saints. She played a collective 37 games – mostly in the ruck, with the occasional stint in defence – across her three clubs, overcoming a torn ACL in that time, and won plenty of fans for her outgoing and open chats on the sidelines. "Rhi is the ultimate teammate – selfless both on and off the field," Melbourne head of AFLW Jessie Mulholland said. "We can’t thank her enough for what’s she’s brought to our program over the last three seasons. "Her generosity, humour, talent, and tenacity have enriched our team, and she’ll be deeply missed. "We wish Rhi and her wife, Bel, all the best in whatever comes next."
